Kris,
Wow, Walmart sells grapeseed oil in Mexico. Only place I can find it in my area is at a healthfood store or a grocery store like Whole Foods which sells organic food.

Kris,
It's amazing how much a bottle of it costs in a normal healthfood store. I'll bet the price is heck of a lot cheaper at Walmart too.

Here about $2.00 (two dollars) pint, which works out ok for 1 egg jar of mayo. Olive oil has really gone up and down here over the last year.

A local chain here in central NY State has started to carry grapeseed oil and I've come to prefer it to olive oil and it's approx the same price. I'm going to try that recipe for mayo. My only concern is possible salmonella from raw egg. Thanks.

I've heard the statistics is one in 300,000 chance of getting salmonella from raw eggs. I've used raw eggs in shakes and for mayo my whole life. Everyone on both sides of my family have used raw eggs for mayo from before I was born. I have never met a person who got salmonella from a raw egg. Did meet one who got it from meat. Possible, yes, probable, no. In fact there were several salmonella outbreaks in Washington state a few years ago, from fast food places (think Wendys)and not from eggs, from hamburgers. I think a problem would arise when using a cracked egg. Fresh uncracked eggs have an inner membrane that protects (seals)the chick from the outerworld during it's development. The reason a hardboiled egg can be hard to peal, if you don't get under the membrane when pealing. So you pays your money, and takes your chances. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

I was doing 16 raw eggs per day at one stage and I never experienced any issues with raw eggs, like Kris said, stick to the uncracked ones and you're likely to stay lucky...

I thought this was great -- drinking milk stout/Guinness to gain weight -- my kind of guy! Can you imagine the steroid people doing such a thing? All hail pre-steroid bodybuilding! Eric

I've resorted to drinking beer in major bulking phases and it really adds a ton of calories to your diet without having to chew your off to get it all down, quick and effective, and tasty

I've taken to sherry. If I wouldn't turn into a drunk (and fat pig) I swear I'd polish off a bottle every night. For some reason, meat and sherry just 'feels' anabolic to me ...and I really believe it. Just that placebo effect alone is probably more effective than anything 'natural'.
