Is there anyone reading this who knows anything about the technical side of film making? I want to know why Reg's voice needed to be dubbed at all. If you look at him carefully in the CAPTIVE WOMEN, you can read his lips and it is obvious that he was speaking English when saying his lines in Italy. So why couldn't they just leave his lines in as spoken when it came to releasing the English versions of his films? Obviously they had to dub the other actors because they were nearly all Italians speaking Italian. But Reg is clearly speaking English, so why..?
Any sound editors out there?

They might have done all the video recording but left out all the sound and added it in later, is it only Reg or all the characters? I'll ask Reg if he knows and I'll try get your other question answered ASAP!

I think it's all the characters.

Then considering the movies were made for the Italian film goers I'd imagine that they never even recorded the original audio. It most likely was done later when they wanted to market it to America!

Steve Reeves commented on that once, saying that they didn't record the audio in his movies. He said it was very hectic, because people off camera were being loud, talking and such because they knew that the sound would be added later.
